Ordered a t-shirt and tossed on the USAE sticker for my new truck. It’s that one up above. Time goes by and I eventually get my shipping confirmation. Alrighty then. Couple days later (today) I get an awesome email from Blipshift admitting they cannot count (their words, not mine) and I will not be getting my sticker, but oh, don’t worry we will refund you the amount (of course you will) and we threw in a little something extra: a pack of the Blipshift logo trio! Oh, just what I wanted, to advertise for you for free. Nope.avi
Keep ‘em. Seriously. Don’t want ‘em. Not scraping your name off the sticker above was how you were going to get advertising out of me.
I love a business giving a voice to some automotive oddities and I like a bunch of the designs they print (not all, but a bunch - I’ve got probably a dozen shirts), but this honestly rings more of a slap in the face than a goodwill gesture. Hey, we screwed up, advertise for us? Please?

Company owns up, provides refund without you having to call in the national guard, and provides a token for your incredibly minor inconvenience ... you consider that a slap in the face?
Must have a very sensitive face...they make lotion for that.

I haven’t bought a shirt from them in two years. Nothing against their company at all, just the shirt haven’t appealed to me in a while.
That said, they owned up that they miscounted and refunded you the amount of the sticker, in the given situation what more can you really as of them?

It could be worse.

Eh, he has a point. I’m not saying its a great one, but he ordered a sticker of a particular design and their idea of compensation was to send him stickers for their brand.
It’d be like buying a pair of Nike’s, discovering the blood of child laborers oozing from the soles, and Nike sending you a Swoosh sticker ‘for your trouble’.

They have a couple of pretty good designs. However, shipping is pretty expensive to Europe (okay, that’s not their fault, I guess). I bought one shirt last year, and I wasn’t that impressed by the quality for that kind of money (once again: with the expensive shipping included).
And to add another t-shirt-related rant: I used to buy shirts from teefury.com (they have a bunch of great geek / popcult designs + I’m satisfied with the qualiy + shipping was cheap to Europe). But they don’t ship to my country any more...

That would be the only thing I would want from Blipshift. None of their shirts would fit me. Damn my long body.

While your Jimmies may be excessively rustled, I saw that sticker and went, damn I’d actually like that one

I can understand being disappointed, I would be....but they gave him his money back and threw in some promo stickers.
Just chuck ‘em in the trash if you don’t want them...not a big deal, certainly no face slappin’.

An incentive to keep doing business. A free shipping coupon would’ve been cool. More useful than some stickers of their logo that I don’t want to put on anything.

I may have access to a vinyl plotter.

The token is bull. They throw in promo stickers on everything you order anyways. I admit it’s a minor inconvenience, but I think it’s still a crap deal. You ran out of something I ordered, how about something to incentivize me to continue doing business with them. A free shipping coupon or something? Why would anyone want to replace a cool sticker with a three pack of their logo? Add to that the real cost of those producing those stickers (there is a ton of vinyl waste printing stuff like that out) and it’s a negative for both of us.

There has to be a level of understanding on your part as well, though. They miscounted a sticker (seriously, have you ever counted a stack of stickers? There could be a couple hundred in a stack around an inch tall), I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around getting this upset over a 2- or 3-dollar sticker.
Instead of bitching about it on the Internet, why don’t you e-mail back that you understand people make mistakes (especially for a small company) and if they could send you that sticker for free when they get their next shipment in. Be reasonable, they are people too.

so there’s still hope?

There may be. The low res on their website doesn’t help, but if I devote some time to illustrator there may be a reward.

I mean, I could re-create it in Vector Art for you pretty easily.

Stickers like that SHOULD come free with any order anyway. Logo stickers are really only cool if they just come with the cool stuff you were already going to buy.
